One platform for power and motor control.
For a main switchboard, start with the supply arrangement and outgoing circuit schedule. For an MCC, add the motor list, starting methods and control interfaces. The assembly ratings are established for the specified configuration.
Simotrol construction provides defined spaces for the busbar system, equipment and cable connections. The layout is developed around the circuit schedule, device sizes, control interfaces and access needed for installation and maintenance.
Top or bottom cable entry and future additions should be discussed before the lineup is finalised. Existing installations require a review of their condition and arrangement before an extension or modification can be specified.
Simotrol MCC ratings and separation.
Simotrol is CWS’ primary industrial MSB and MCC platform, with capacity up to 1.5 MVA. Options include Form 4a separation, Form 3bih group starter tiers and short-time withstand configurations of 50 or 63 kA for 1 second. The completed assembly’s ratings follow its selected configuration.
The 63 kA duration is 1 second. Confirm fault-level information, operating conditions and the required verification documentation when specifying an assembly.
Starters, drives and controls
Send the motor duties, starting methods and PLC data requirements together. Identify the protocol and required current, fault, status and energy information. We plan VSDs case by case, using separate ventilated cubicles where the drive size and heat call for them.
